An Area Agency on Aging (AAA) is a public or nonprofit private agency that helps older Arizonans. AAAs are chosen by the State to plan and coordinate services at the local level and advocate for older adults
Improve quality of life by promoting independence, dignity, and health for senior citizens through advocacy, education, and support of community-based services.
Assess and determine the needs of older people – develop a care management plan to provide those needs; coordinate and ensure that the services are delivered properly; and keep an on-going record.
Helping older and disabled adults age with independence and dignity in the setting of their choice which is most often their own homes and communities.
Help maintain an individual’s independence and dignity in their home and community.
